Portfolio

I’m an AI regulatory lawyer. I spent six years at Amazon, where I led a GenAI contract review project that ended up in the Wall Street Journal. I do AI governance work inside a regulated industry, and I write AI Law. Decoded., where I translate AI regulation into plain English for the people who actually have to comply with it.

Regulation is written in one language. Systems are built in another.
Someone has to be bilingual.

Advisory Work

For companies deploying AI
I help teams turn AI Act obligations into working processes: AI systems inventory, role classification, risk assessment, internal policies, and the documentation the Act requires. From a focused readiness assessment to a full governance setup. Built from doing the work, not from reading about it.

For AI vendors and consultancies
If your product embeds legal claims (risk classifications, compliance checklists, generated documentation), the legal mapping behind them is what separates a compliance tool from a liability. I review that layer the way your customers’ counsel will: which claims hold, which need boundaries, and what breaks when a regulator reads them.

Engagements are scoped individually. Write to me at silvia@ailawdecoded.com with a few lines about what you’re working on.

What Others Are Saying

Silvia brings outstanding regulatory judgment to AI governance work. In our collaboration on AiValuations, she helped turn complex technical evidence into clear, legally careful materials that governance, risk, and executive audiences can actually use. Her ability to separate technical observations from legal conclusions made the work stronger and more credible.
